Decorating from A-Z (C is for Ceiling)

Look up!  Don’t forget the fifth wall in the room.  Adding Wallpaper, Tiles, Wood Beams, Mosaic patterns and decorative paint are just a few things that can enhance your Ceilings.

So Why do we often miss the fifth wall?  Is it because we’re not looking up?  Well, here is some inspiration for your next project.

TIN CEILING PANELS are available in a range of patterns and colors, and are nailed to a plywood substrate.  Try americantinceilings.com.

GP PLYTANIUM PLY-BEAD 4-by-8-foot presanded southern pine panels are nailed to the ceiling joists.  These can be found at gp.com.

FAUX BEAMS look like hand-hewn wood, but these lightweight polyurethane timbers slide over—and get screwed to—2×4’s that are nailed to the ceiling.  Try finding them at fauxwoodbeams.com.

Addressing the ceiling can add so much presence to a room;  often adding warmth, drama and a luxurious touch.

Do you ever forget to include the ceiling?  What is your favorite ceiling treatment?  I’d love to know.

Inspiring creativity,

Ricci
