So what’s the big deal about Nature Inspired decorating?  Here are 7 reasons why it’s a big deal.

1.  It’s an Affordable way to add loveliness to your space.  Sometimes all you have to do is walk outside pick a few blooms and “Wa-lla”, talk about a mood changer!   I love adding flowers at home and those I design, sometimes it’s the final touch that’s needed.

Fresh flowers, every home needs them!

2.  For people who love an Organic feel to their space.  There’s no better way to acquire that feeling than to infuse  Natural elements in the decorating plan.  This could be paint colors that are found in nature like greens and blues, or even earth tones for example.

3. Bringing the outside into your space, gives you a deeper connection to “Mother Earth”.  It may sound a little nutty, but I  can’t wait to raise the shades in the morning.  The sunshine just lifts my spirit.

I took this picture a few months ago- imagine it separated into 3 pieces and framed - This could also make a wonderful oasis in your back yard

4.  It’s what’s hot right now, At the design centers natural elements were prolific.  Here are a few examples.

5.  These decorating elements are very versatile and can successfully enhance any design style.   I added sand and river rocks to these vases and found the perfect place to showcase them.

6.  Using objects found in nature, is a “feel good” way of decorating. It helps us to make more environment- friendly choices.   And I think it even inspires us to become more creative.

I also like to use authentic looking silks for alternative embellishments

For a change of pace, I like to change my winter drapes to more lightweight summery ones, these linen panels worked great.

7.  If you’re looking for a Rustic Elegance in your home, you may find that incorporating nature inspired elements is just what you need.
