Decorating with Falls bounty

The shapes and colors of fall are wonderful, cozy and inviting.

The cool crisp air reminds me that it’s time for all things ” Apple”.  Apple pie, fresh apple cider, fresh picked apples, caramel apples and even apple dumplings.

It’s also time for getting the flannel sheets out of storage and buying hot chocolate for the kids.  What are some of your favorite Fall rituals?

Here are a few tips for decorating for the Fall.

1.  Gourds, apples, pears and berries accented with sprigs of greenery will make your dining room or kitchen table luscious and inviting.

2.  Pick up some fresh flowers if Fall colors for your vase.

3.  Go on a nature hunt to find leaves in various colors for a craft project.

4.  Replace the flowers in your window boxes with colorful pumpkins and gourds

5.  Assemble votive candles among a collection of pumpkins

Warm colors like yellow, green and red can be stimulating, but also cultivate feelings of intimacy, and coziness

6.  Add some golds, shades of orange,  and greens to your decor for a warm and inviting Fall feeling.  (i.e. pillows, throws, candles, area rug, accent wall)
