Does Color really matter?
Is it true? Do colors really affect how you FEEL in a room? Here are a few mood boards I created to help us answer the question. Please vote on your favorite color. How does this image make you feel? Most greens have a calming effect. This green, however has a vibrant energy to it and would need to be grounded with some warm browns, creams, or neutral beiges to give it a more calming appeal. Imagine the wall painted latte’ or hazelnut….mmmm
If you want to liven up a space, Orange is a nice vibrant hue that pops with so much personality. I love this color; it’s so much fun! How does it make you feel? Would you choose this color in your home?
Are you lovin the blue? This is such a popular color to decorate with. Like the greens this color tends to emote a sense of relaxation and calm.
Plums are romantic, regal and sophisticated. I think this is a great hue for a bedroom. Imagine lush sheets, throws and pillows!
How about black; the color known to be sophisticated, dramatic and mysterious. How does this color make you feel?

Decorating with white lends itself to a room that feels clean, fresh, open and airy. It can also appear elegant and sophisticated yet also a bit sterile. What’s your take? I think white rooms look amazing, but for me quite impractical. I can just envision myself (clumsy) spilling red wine on the white sofa and wanting to scream!
So what do you think? Do you agree? Does color really matter? I believe it’s important to choose color well. It really can make a difference in your room and how comfortable or uncomfortable you feel in it.
I’m counting on you to vote on your favorite. 🙂

I vote for plum or orange. Plum is more sophisticated, while orange is definitely a vibrant color. Both can be a great addition to a room!
