Non-permanent Changes: Low Commitment, High Impact by Joly

A lot of times, the thought and commitment of making permanent changes to your walls deter you from actually going through with it. In some circumstances, for those who rent or have other temporary living situations, you are not allowed to even make permanent changes. Even if you are given the ability to paint your rooms, it is a time-consuming process that involves huge messes and lingering odors. However, I’m a firm believer that your walls should never be white and bare if you don’t want it to be. Here are a few low-maintenance but high-impact options you can choose instead.
Consider upgrading your home décor with fabric! Adding fabric to your walls opens up a plethora of interior decorating options from faux fur to animal print, leather to suede, plaid to denims, elegant silk designs to simple cotton print. Below are some examples, where you see that covering an entire wall or just a section of the wall gives the bedroom a 3D texturized effect that paint can never achieve:

You can even quickly glam-ify a banquet room, ( special occasion) by covering looming white walls with color to personalize the space.

Another option are quick, easy, and removable adhesive wall graphics. Some great companies to look at are Blik, DezignWithaZ, and LtL Prints.

QUESTIONS CORNER?

Do you have recommendations for any other non permanent changes?

Sure.  How about Rotating Accessories each season – Now is a good time to swap out your summer accessories like pillows and throws (often a lighter weight and tone) for deeper warmer tones.  The ones that elicit feelings of coziness and thoughts of curling up with a good book and cup of tea!

Here’s a cool “non permanent” idea we  found on pinterest……the tree branches add a nice organic element to the space…for a more whimsical approach, try spray painting them a far out color.
