Complete Your Home This Holiday Season With A Wreath

Marissa shares some terrific wreath ideas for holiday wreaths.

Make your holiday season complete with a wreath! I have always felt like a wreath really gives that finishing touch to a room, and it completes the look of the home from the outside when placed on a door. There are so many different kinds of wreaths to choose from, and many wreaths you can even make yourself! That is what makes them so fun and interesting.

I think wreaths with ornaments really grab your attention. Check out the wreath above here. For those Christmas lovers, this website even has a countdown until Christmas!

I love how simple and elegant this wreath is. It would make a great wall decoration!

This wreath is adorable! It is made of candy canes and small red ornaments. Could be a fun DIY if you have a lot of time on your hands.

You can never fail with a nice big bow. Add a bow to any wreath to make it look festive and decorative.

Last, but not least… this one is my favorite. A wreath made from bows? Whatever wall or door you place it on makes it seem like a giant present! This is a great use for those bows leftover after presents are opened. This wreath is definitely on my to-do list to make this holiday season.

MAKE A WREATH FOR UNDER $3.00 BUCKS, IN LESS THAN AN HOUR.

You’ll need to take a trip to Lowes, the dollar store and have a glue gun and tape on hand.

Lowes: Purchase a 1/2″ pipe insulation tube at .97 (I purchased the 6 ft. size)

Dollar store:  Purchase a pack of  coffee filters – I used a pack of 200.

A 6 ft long insulation tube will make 2 small wreaths or 1 large one.  I opted to go for 1 large one for a dramatic effect.

Here’s how they look out of the box

Tape it to make your circle

Now to get started

Fold the coffee filter and glue it at the bottom

Place the glued side down onto the tube

Continue gluing and placing, gluing and placing all the way around the tube

Until you’ve completed the circle

You can keep it simple or embellish it- I added a metallic ribbon for a little something extra.

Have you ever made a cool wreath yourself? Where are your favorite spots to hang wreaths?
