Join The Conversation: Meet Danielle
How would you describe your style?
I would say my style is overall whimsical and sweet. So much of my art is customer too which allows me the fun opportunity to explore a wider variety of styles. I take pride in the fact that I can easily adapt to most style preferences.
What is your favorite hobby?
Art… of every single kind! Painting is probably my absolute favorite thing to do (it’s so rewarding and therapeutic), but give me a pencil, markers, computer, or camera and I’m just as happy.
What is your favorite color?
I adore greens and blues. To me, they are calming and remind me of nature.
Do you follow design blogs? If so, which ones?
I love browsing other blogs! In fact, I enjoy far too many to list. I have a board on pinterest specifically for blogs and sites I love.
What is your favorite part of your home/room/office?
This may sound silly, but I love the drop-cloth beneath my easel. To me, not only is it beautiful abstract artwork in itself, but it holds the stories of each painting I’ve completed.
Do you have any design dilemmas or challenges you are currently facing?
The one major dilemma that honestly may always linger is regarding my overall company identity and branding. I would love to switch to a more playful business name, but also feel it’s important to keep my current identity. Also, TIME….. I feel like I have far too many ideas and projects I want to do, and there’s never enough time to do them all.
Where do you go for inspiration?
Currently, my biggest guilty passion is browsing Pinterest! The inspirations are endless!
Danielle’s inspirational photo:
“I absolutely adore the gallery display and think there’s an incredible variety of textures, patterns, and pops of color.”
What is your favorite inspirational design quote?
“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” Pablo Picasso
“Passion, passion, passion. If you can develop a passion and genuine mindset to do your best, you will go far. There’s nothing worse than a non-motivated designer. Having the right mindset and allowing yourself some confidence to release your creative flair is what you will need.” – Matt Davies
What is most important to you when decorating or designing?
Truthfully, making my clients happy is my ultimate goal! I strive to make their visions come to reality.
If money were no issue, what would you do to enhance your home?
If money were no issue, I would definitely enhance my home with new furniture! We’re still lacking a dresser in our bedroom, and I would LOVE to have a beautiful art space with practical organization pieces!
