Spring 2012 Color Trends

Trends for a season vary in color, shape, design, and texture. I love reading about new trends that are going to shape the market in the next season. They encourage us to try new looks and styles that we would normally shrug off.

I referred to Pantone for their choice of popular colors this Spring. The colors for the upcoming season are inspired from earthy tones. Even bright colors are on trend, which are perfect to bring life to a room for Spring.

Trends can be tricky to implement in your home because they often won’t work for everyone. It’s best to use color trends through small accents in your home instead of painting your walls, for example, a shocking color. This way, it won’t be difficult to remove them if you suddenly decide that the particular trend doesn’t work for your home. Here are some rooms and accessories that reflect the color trends for 2012. I’ve included images that show the boldest way to display these colors but also images that have small accents of color. These rooms can hopefully inspire you to embrace new trends.
