How would you describe your style? Cottage with Color. I love the white woodwork and moldings that comes with a cottage home, especially when partnered with current bright colors and patterns.

What is your favorite hobby? Organizing. It’s so great that my hobby is my job!

What is your favorite color? Pink. Since I am the only girl in the house, I typically bring it in through a fun bouquet of flowers. Love the pop of pink against just about any pallet. So pretty.

Do you follow design blogs? If so, which ones? I love so many! A couple that I check frequently are: 6th Street Design School, A Thoughtful Place, Maillardville Manor and The Lettered Cottage.

What is your favorite part of your home/room/office? My closet office or living room. Both are pretty much called “complete” and make me smile on a daily basis. The closet office is my sanctuary get-away and my living room is where I spend time with my favorite people.

Do you have any design dilemmas or challenges you are currently facing? Yes, I have a U shaped area that is a playroom that opens into our family room that opens into my office studio. Trying to make it all flow and finding a color scheme that I LOVE is proving to be a bit of a challenge. Not to mention there is limited natural light, which seems to impact how the wall color looks in some areas vs. others.

Where do you go for inspiration? Magazines first, the blog world and Pinterest second.

What is your favorite inspirational design quote? “What I love most about my home is who I share it with.” Tad Carpenter

What is most important to you when decorating or designing? Color. Color makes me happy.

If money were no issue, what would you do to enhance your home? Oooooh, what wouldn’t I do? I would upgrade the flooring on our upper level to a walnut laminate, tear down the dividing wall between the kitchen and living room, upgrade the kitchen and add decorative molding to every single room.
