“Wine a bit… and you’ll feel better”.  I found this quote from Pinterest and It seemed perfect for my blog post today.  Are you into wines? Do you have a preference for whites or reds?  In an effort to make wine selections a little easier take a look at the resources we found

The Tasting Room

Taste premium wines in sample sizes before you commit to a full bottle.  I love the flights and variety this site offers and to top it off they also make great gifts!

Here’s a taste card that comes with each sample of 6
what a great way to discover new wines.  It’s also a great excuse to get the girls together for a wine tasting party.

Great Free Wine App for your mobile phone

I’ve discovered some really great wines using this app.  Sometimes even if your local wine merchant doesn’t carry the recommended wine. They will often steer you in the direction of a similar one.

Food and Wine Pairing Guide

Love this website information because once you click on your wine category, you’re given the characteristics of the wine with the best foods to pair it with as well as those to avoid.

Wine tidbits

A wine is said to be “balanced” when no single element–sweet, sour, or bitter–dominates the flavor.

Why do some people swirl the wine in their glass before they taste it?

Swirling wine is a way to release its aroma. The thin layer of wine on the inside of the glass that results from swirling evaporates quickly, therefore releasing the wine’s aroma. Some wine drinkers like to enjoy the aroma of their wine before they taste it.

Summertime is right around the corner and salads become a staple on the dinner table.  click here to learn what works best for this lighter fare
