Color Fabulous: 2012 Olympic Games

In honor of the 2012 Olympics I thought I would focus on Olympic colors today. Why not throw an Olympic themed party and have some friends over to watch the games? I’ll give you some tips and ideas to get you started on the party of champions!

How about some Olympic doughnuts? They are super easy to make, and this awesome blog Whatever Dee Dee Wants teaches you how to make them.

Serve foods from all over the world to represent all the participating countries and spice things up a little bit!

Print out some flags and attach them to toothpicks. Then stick them in the different foods served to show which country each food is from.

Get color coded buckets that are Olympic colors and fill them with candy of matching colors. This simple and cheap project is explained in more detail on You Are My Fave.

Serve an Olympic rings cocktail and pour champagne over lifesavers. The Examiner also provides some suggestions for appetizers from around the world.
