When adding color to a room you shouldn’t limit yourself to picking just one. Try and mix it up! It is so refreshing for you and your guests to walk into a room that is full of color. It can be very uplifting! Combining colors you might not think of putting together can be a bit of a challenge, so today I am going to give you some tips on how to do it without going overboard.

Use colors that are in the same color family, like the different shades of reds and pinks in the photo above.

Play around with textures and then add some solid bright colors that really pop.

Pay attention to the contrast between colors and make sure that they compliment each other. If you are going to use a really bright piece, make sure you include another color to tone down the room.

It’s fun to play around with patterns as well, just make sure you don’t get too carried away!

Finally, don’t forget about the outside! Adding some bright colors to your patio can really make a day in the yard very energizing.
