It’s Color Fabulous Friday and this week, we’re talking about decorating with a single color palette

Decorating with a single color adds a sense of harmony to a room, presents a streamlined sensibility and  is easier to execute if you’re unsure of what color combinations to work with.  Here are a few examples of how decorating with one color (different intensities)can be fabulous.

Several shades of the same color is a great way to add depth and keep the room from looking too sleepy.

Any room can use use a single color scheme.  Bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens– the concept holds true for them all!

The look works best by adding different textures (like the pillow above), tones, shades, and tints. This adds variety, and vibrancy.

Various shades (intensities) of violet add a sense of opulence and glamour

The various intensities of beige and texture make this a winning look

  1. These colors are gorgeous. I especially like the purple room. I like that there are a bunch of different shades, not just on shade of that particular color. Thank you very much for sharing.
