Color Fabulous: A GRAY office chair gets a burst of YELLOW!
Each week we do a color feature, hi-lighting color trends and how they’re infused in our daily lives. Today we reupholstered a drab gray office chair with a yellow burst of color. Take a look at how we did it.
I am in the process of updating my office.
Santa Claus found out I wanted a new desk, so I got one for Christmas. Once you get a new piece of furniture, you end up wanting to change everything!
So now I wanted a new chair for the new desk
Kinda like this one
Then I fell in love with this one…completely different!
In the meantime, while I wait for the perfect chair, I decided to work with what I have. So I recovered my very drab gray chair with an updated chevron print.
Here’s what I did..
I disassembled the chair
Gathered my tools
Aligned the fabric for the seat and chair back 
Then cut the pieces needed for each 
Pulling tight, I stapled the fabric around the perimeter of each piece
I then trimmed the excess
Snapped the plastic piece, back onto the top piece
And covered the raw edges with a faux silk fabric (leftover from another project). 
My hubby wanted to get in on the action and reattached the arms.
And here it is all dressed up!
