That’s Pinterest-ing! Test driving a few of our Pins

Each Week we discover interesting topics on “Pinterest” and share them here. We “test drove” a few pins from our Food boards and wanted to share our “take” on them

After taking stock of all the Pins I’ve collected over the months, I  decided to put the Tom Ka Soup, Summer Pasta Salad, Power salad and weight loss boosting water to the test. Here are the results:

Tom Ka Soup –

I really enjoyed this soup! If you decide to make it, It’s important to know that all of the flavor of the lemongrass is in the bottom of the stalk.  Peel away the outer layers and cut the bottom for the most robust flavor!  If you want the recipe take a look at our previous post hereAs you can see, it was even a hit with my 13 year old 🙂
 Summer  Salad

This was voted as outstanding on Pinterest and it definitely measured up! It looked beautiful and tasted amazing.  I can easily see this becoming a staple in my family.  Want to try it?  Grab the recipe herePower Salad-

This was a good salad, I omitted the chicken and substituted quinoa as my protein.  I think it needed the chicken.  I enjoyed this overall, but found that it was missing something. So I added dried apricots and cranberries, which gave the flavor a nice boost. If you want the original recipe go here

Weight loss boosting Water-

 I’m still waiting for the pounds to drop off (lol) but in the meantime it makes a nice presentation and is quite flavorful.
