Color Fabulous: 3 Easy Spray Paint Projects To Try
Each week we provide Color Fabulous tips that help you punctuate your surroundings. We spotted 3 fun spray paint projects for you.
Every now and then, I get the craft bug and want to update an object with paint.
Paint can give an item a fresh look and sometimes a completely new perspective.
I was directed to the Krylon site, after reading an article on spray painting ideas. Of course, I wanted to share them with you.
So here are 3 projects to help you get into a craft-y mood.
The first thing to take note of is this nifty attachment for spray cans.
The burden of tired fingers goes away, when you attach this do-hickey to the can.
Project #1
Bling it up with metallic paint and rhinestones. The sky is the limit for what you can do. Try painting waste baskets, vases, furniture, desk accessories etc.
Project #2
A beautiful look and easy to achieve. Just spray paint the inside of a vase with silver and the outside with red. Instead of using curly ribbon; try painters tape (cut in narrow strips)
Project #3
This one takes a little more time, but if your outdoor furniture could use a refresh, this is a great idea.
I decided to take a stroll behind my house, in search of the perfect fallen branch. I was itching to spray paint something.
While I was at it, I decided to spray paint an old waste basket too.
I really liked how the colors looked, but I wasn’t sure where to put them, so I test drove them in a number of places in the house.
I tried them out in the family room, in the kitchen and then I tried them with a few towels …..and the winner is….the guest bathroom! I may even add a faux bird or two to the branches
If you like the color, this is what i used (satin jade)

I was just at the store looking for spray paint ideas!!!! I have some old patio furniture that was given to us by a neighbor who was getting new outdoor furniture. The set id pretty nice but not my color style…so I went to Wal-mart for something else, but couldn’t resist the urge to stop by the patio furniture to get ideas for my new summer paint job!!! Thanks for the ideas, I will post once I paint something!
How exciting….Can’t wait to see it!
Coconut oil is really exploding in popularity and
can be found at most stores now. I have a little pot and add about
5 drops of the oil to it and gently bring it to a rolling boil.
In Southeast Asia it is readily available and
very inexpensive, so it has become a staple used in cooking and as a lotion for skin.
