Lifestyle: Fun Kid Friendly Crafts

by / Monday, 24 June 2013 / Published in INSPIRATION STATION, Lifestyle

Have you heard the inevitable “Im bored”  from the kids?  Well that won’t last long with these super fun projects Grace found to share.

These projects can be eaten, worn decorated and are just plain fun, even if you’re not a kid, you’ll want to join in.

The end of June usually marked the end of my summer excitement. By this point I was no longer relieved school was out and my friends and I had already done everything we had planned for the season.

Therefore, I decided to write a post about fun things to keep on hand for when your kids/grandchildren were too bored to behave and needed a change of pace.

1. Homemade Popsicles

My brother and I LOVED making these when we were little!

freeze water or soda in a plastic popsicle mold and add gummy bears! The kids will be super excited when they’re finally frozen and even more when they uncover each gummy bear!

This one is called Magic Potion. Freeze different flavors of Kool Aid in ice cube trays and serve with lemon lime soda. As the ice cubes melt the drink will magically change flavors!!

2. Marshmallow Shooter

This site gives instructions on how to make this as well as what you’ll need. These look like they will keep the kids busy for quite a while!

3. Homemade Gripper Socks

I had a Tweety Bird pair of gripper socks when I was younger and was absolutely obsessed with them. With this craft the kids will be able to make their socks look however they want!

4. Craft Stick Bracelets

Boil craft sticks in water, fit into a cup and let dry over night. What’s left is a bracelet shaped craft stick ready to be painted!

5. Crazy Spaghetti

Cook spaghetti, section into ziplock bags 1/4 filled with water and different food coloring in each bag. The result is colorful pasta. What a fun lunch!
