Inspiration: Zatist! My new favorite Artist
A funny thing happened when I was creating a mood board on the olioboard site.
I found myself attracted to the images above, starting with the still life piece, then the vibrant rainbow, followed by night rose, and so on. It occurred to me that a trend was developing…..they were all from the same artist!
This was not intentional.
Abstract art really “speaks” to me, particularly bold interpretations.
My favorite from Zatista, is the rainbow piece, because it can be hung vertically or horizontally and provides a beautiful palette to decorate with.
I also love the muted tones in the Still Life for its sensual curves.
Since these pieces are quite expensive, I decided to create my own version with the help my intern Grace and daughter Niyah.
I purchased these tables from Ikea for 7.99 to use as my canvas. Check back on Wednesday to see how they turned out.
