How-To Turn table legs into wall art
There is so much we can do to repurpose and reinterpret everyday items.
If you have been following our post, you know that we transformed ikea table tops into wall art a few weeks ago and decided that we would also do something creative with the legs. My inspiration came from hotel wall art.
Here’s what we did
1. We stood the legs upright in a cardboard box for easy painting.
2. We chose a two toned color combination
3. Once painted, pre drilled holes allowed for the pieces to easily attach to each other.
4. I then centered mounting hardware to the back to prepare for the wall installation.
5. Here, I tried different layout options before placing the design on the wall.
6. Once decided, It was easy to install the design. This horizontal placement (in a teens “hang out” space) created a nice nook for reading and relaxing.
A project like this is ideal for dorm room decor or a teen room update. The possibilities for color, pattern, and arrangement are limitless. What has inspired you lately ? What have you reinterpreted?
