How to

Bar stools come in all types of shapes, finishes, and sizes and can be a little overwhelming if you don’t do your homework.OB-barstools

The first thing you want to do is measure. google images

Will you need counter height or bar stool height?

And then assess your aesthetic and functional needs

Do you prefer backs or no backs?

etc. etc. etc.

There’s a lot to consider right?

I started a project some months ago, and have been looking for the right counter stools for my kitchen island.  You might remember this post.

I considered these from Ballard designs.

BALLARD

And these

And many, many, more…

But decided on these:**seagrass backs

I fell in love with the textured seagrass backs

chairs and light

And swivel Cognac leather seats for their texture and warm tones

It worked well with the warm tones and other organic textures throughout the kitchen.

All in all, once the height and style preferences are figured out, take the time to see how they actually feel.  Some  will look good and feel awful.  Others will feel great and look awful.

So how do you choose the right bar stools?   Very carefully.  Remember size, aesthetics and function.
