Lifestyle: Going global in the kitchen
Not only can you take a trip around the world with your decor, but you can get super creative with the foods you eat too.
In talking with friends, I’ve found that cooking is something that you either love or absolutely hate.
Fortunately, I gravitate to the love side…..I truly enjoy trying new recipes and discovering new entrees.
I have several pin boards on pinterest dedicated just for recipes and I intend to make my way through all of them., okay, well most of them……I have lots!!!
If you are interested in adding more flava to the dinner table,
try taking your taste buds on an international journey.
Here are just a few ways to do so
1. Exotic fruits

The next time you’re at the supermarket, grab something exotic or tropical. While some may look strange, the taste may surprise you.
2. Add a few new herbs and spices to your spice rack.

Lawrys season salt, lemon pepper, garlic powder, salt, pepper and italian seasoning are staples in my spice cabinet, but I’ve recently become acquainted with Turmeric, Cilantro, Cumin, Coriander, Ginger and a host of others.
3. Ask friends for recipes from their culture
I’ve learned how to make authentic spring and egg rolls. Korean Bulgogi (beef bbq), Lentil stew, samosas, and African Jollof rice with chicken. All incredible recipes, that my friends were willing to share.

4. Dine at a new restaurant….
For instance, give Tai, Greek, Korean, Middle Eastern, Lebanese, Vietnamese, or Ethiopian food a try ……. just go for it…..A great way to learn about another culture is through their food.
