Inspiration Monday: Do your Art and area rug speak the same language?

Art and accessories add the “flava” and set the tone for the spaces we live in. The challenge is often in finding the right items to coordinate with them.

In a previous post we featured a few art pieces from our online shop.  

Here are a few examples of how they can work well with the right area rug(s).

This Turquoise abstract piece coordinates well with both the abstract area rug and the shaggy orange one. Either will add interest and harmony to a room.

While this painting is simplistic in nature, it could easily speak to a tribal vibe with the zebra rug or add a more subtle interest, coordinated with the copper nuances in rug #2.

This art elicits energy and movement.  Each of the coordinating rugs, repeats either all or some of the colors

When you add a touch of mother earth to your decor, you bring a little of her inside.

Each of these rugs brings in an organic vibe with the repetition of the leaf or a deep brown to ground the space

There are so many directions to take when choosing the right accessories in a room.  Remember to think about the mood you want to create and how you want to feel, when making your selections.
