As for today’s post lets look at
Asian flair
I love this motif because it’s fits in with so many design styles, be they traditional, transitional, global etc.
There is an appreciation for natural materials, open airy spaces, simple furnishings and a sense of color and balance.
We’ll often see Yin and Yang, Zen and Feng Shui principles interpreted in this design aesthetic.
Prevalent colors, elements and textures
Bamboo
Teak brown
Stone
Wicker
Jade green
Rice paper
Lacquer red
Black and indigo
Shoji screens
Bamboo blinds
This concept shows off a bamboo-textured motif flanked by two sconces and a simple orchid. It would be ideal for an entryway in your home.
