Sundays with Ydp
My daughter designed a few new images for my Sunday posts. This one (above) was my fav because, I believe, one of the best things to do on a Sunday morning is sip a cup of java or tea while catching up on interesting reads.
As I think about our upcoming wine and cheese event on Thursday January 29th, I’m beginning to get excited. And from the looks of it, my co-host is too.
I really want to convey just how important the last step in the design process is. The last step is adding the finishing touches, just as you would when you add a scarf or jewelry to an outfit.
It sets the tone for your outfit of the day.
Remember the new paint job my hubby wanted for his home office? Here’s how it turned out
If you remember, these were the colors he chose from.
Most of them had a muted neutral quality with cool or warm undertones.
This cool neutral (sedate grey) gave the right degree of depth and light we were going for.
After the paint, it was time to add a few important accessories to the space.
We found this cool area rug
which worked well with our art selections from our online shop
Here’s the certificate that came with it.
I also wanted to display some of his most recent publications
along with other elements that were important to him
Overall, I think he was pleased. Even if we did borrow the chair from our daughter’s room (away at college) until we get his man-chair recovered or replaced (sshhh…don’t tell my daughter)
What elements can you add to your room that speak to you? Are you wearing accessories that are so-so or do they really make your outfit?
Join us on Thursday January 29th for our wine and cheese event…..Here by design…….Where fashion and design collide.
If you get the chance, we’ve got some great items in our online shop. Shipping is free for anything over $99….go ahead have a look.
