How do you choose the correct rug size?
We often think about the size of the room when we’re selecting our rug size, but we should also consider how the furniture will be placed in a room. Take a look at these suggestions from a popular rug manufacturer Surya.
The Living room
The dining room
Select a room-sized rug that allows enough space for all chair legs
to remain on the rug when the chairs are comfortably pulled away
from the table, usually 8′ x 10′ or larger.
The Bedroom
The rug should extend at least
24″ in length and width from the edges of the bed.
