Inspire Your Heart With Art Day
It’s national Inspire your heart with art day friends. Enjoy this lovely guest post from a very special young lady.
There are quite a few definitions of “art” but generally it can be defined as
“The conscious use of skill and creative imagination especially in the production of aesthetic objects.” -Merriam Webster
As we all know art can come in many forms:
- Painting
- Sculpture
- Music
- Dance
- Literature
- Film
- Photography
- Design
- Culinary
- Spoken Word
The list goes on and on. Since today, Jan 31st, is “Inspire Your Heart With Art Day” I thought I’d share a few of my favorite artists who might inspire you as well.
One of my favorite art forms is dance. This is probably due to the fact that I can not dance, so I appreciate it even more! Haha. I love everything about this contemporary routine to the song “All I Ask” by Adele (one of my favorite musical artists. Have you heard her new CD??)
I am also really into photography. I actually used to live in the same town as this surrealist photographer, Kyle Thompson. His work is phenomenal, and he is exceptionally talented at what he does. Most of his work is actually done on the self timer and features himself which must take a lot of patience and skill.
There’s nothing better to me than young talent, and Austen Brantley is just that. At 20 years old, the same age as me, he is a master sculptor. He’s also self taught which makes his work that much more impressive. See more of his work here.
Art is such a powerful form of expression. On this holiday, take some time to visit an art museum, look at some of your old artwork, or create something new! Happy Inspire Your Heart With Art Day, and let me know who your favorite artists are and what art form do you like best in the comments.
