Bring the resort feeling home even after vacation

We are coming into vacation season where we might stay at a hotel or airbnb with luxury appointments that we simply fall in love with. Does this happen when you travel?  If you find yourself falling in love with the luxurious amenities from a recent trip, why not bring that vacation feeling home.

Here are a few of my favs

Soaking tub

The jetted tub used to be the go-to option for a relaxing bubble bath, but the soaking tub is currently winning. Sleek styles take up less real estate in the bathroom, and are easier  to maintain. This is the bathroom from a recent hotel stay in Colorado.  I loved everything about this space from the tile to the tub, floating shelf and floor plumbing.

Bedside sconces

Chandeliers and sconces can really elevate your home creating varying levels of light for beauty, mood and function. Sconces are a great choice for reading in bed and they free up space on bedside nightstands.

Luxe towels and robe

Drying off with a luxurious towel, then wrapping yourself in a fluffy robe afterwards invites a spa experience over and over again.

Inviting bed

Adding luxury sheets to your mattress and choosing a “beyond ordinary” bed just might help you have a better night sleep. This cool bed is such an example. The deep navy is classic, luxurious and sophisticated.

Set up a Coffee/Tea service right in your room

There is something special about waking up and having coffee within arms reach or a few steps away from your bed. I recently purchased a single service keurig in a fun inviting teal. It landed in my master suite for a couple of reasons. The color was perfect for my decor and my hubby and I can enjoy coffee/tea mornings and evenings without leaving our room. It’s a simple and convenient pleasure.  I love it so much, I decided to set one up for our guestroom.  Our guests now have access to robes and coffee within reach.  Is this why we can’t get them to leave? 🙂 🙂

….but seriously what elements are you drawn to that would be awesome in your home?
