That’s Pinterest- ing! 4 ways to make your home smell yummy

I pinned a few ideas to my pin boards a few months ago and decided, it was time to give some of these home fragrances a try.

Here are 3 ways to make your home smell yummy.

1. Make a homemade lemon and herb room freshner

I added lemons, whole cloves,  rosemary and vanilla to about 16 ounces of water and the scent produced a wonderful pleasing frangrance that even reached the 2nd floor.

I let it simmer on low heat for a couple of hours

Once done, I stored the fragrance in a mason jar (Target) which I refrigerated until the next morning to use again.  It actually seemed more intense the next day!

I borrowed this recipe from the blogger below but added the cloves just for an earthy quality.

The next time I make this, I’ll make a couple of changes like:

1. Add more lemons, herbs and real vanilla beans for a more concentrated scent.

2. And I would also add a few drops of my favorite essential oils to the mixture to make the scent even more robust. (I think it’s a good idea to purchase an inexpensive pot from the dollar store to experiment with different combinations used soley for this purpose.)

2.  Surround votives with whole coffee beans, for a pleasing coffee house aroma
