Great Customer service is alive and well
I just had two outstanding experiences with customer service in the past two days. So I have to give a personal “shout out” to the businesses involved.
The first experience was yesterday with EliteEventLighting.com. Within an hour of my request for a quote (outside landscape lighting) they were at my door snapping up pics to plan out my project. And the quote was available for review in less than 24 hours.
The second experience was today at Dr. Jodi Albert & Associates (optician). I’ve got an interesting dilemma with my eyes where I can’t see things that are far away (near sighted) and now after a recent eye exam, I realize I can’t see close up either…..what the heck!
So the optical office gave me a trial pair of bifocal contact lens to try for a couple of days (This is something that vain people want when we don’t want bifocal eyeglasses to give our age away) 🙂
Anyway, I tried the bi focal contact lens, and couldn’t see far, tried another pair and couldn’t see close up. Finally, I gave in to the vanity and went for eyeglasses. Well they somehow got held up at the lab and will end up taking 3 wks instead of 2. In the meantime, I can’t see!!!!
So understanding my dilemma, Jodi Alberts wonderful staff worked out a fantastic solution for me. I’ve got a 3rd trial pair of contact lenses now (strictly for distance). And a loaner pair of readers to get me through another week….I was so happy i could cry…..And I can see!!!
As a business owner, outstanding customer service is high on my list of priorities. After this I am inspired to step it up even more.
So my design tip for today is this:
When someone does a great job making your home beautiful let them know.
When an item you ordered shows up earlier than expected and it made your day, let them know.
When the delivery company shipped the wrong sofa, but handled the error professionally and expediently, let them know.
Do you believe great customer service is alive and well? Let us know. Do you have a good experience to share?
