How to Wednesday: Add the colors of spring without breaking the bank

I am starting to get excited, because my favorite season is just a few weeks away
and longer days start next week. Woot woot!!

There are so many affordable ways to infuse a breath of fresh air into your decor.

Starting from the entrance, Try a new welcome mat.

Go for something colorful and bright.

Could your windows use an update?  Shades can add a simple and elegant look to windows, reduce glare and energy costs. The shade store has been my go-to brand of choice.

Reconfigure the furnishings in a room and add 3 new items to it – Try any combination of the items below.

Fresh flowers…….New pillow covers…….a stunning new ceiling light…….. Throws…..Drapery panels……Table lamps…..Bowl of fruit (fresh lemons and tangerines can add a beautiful color splash and encourage healthy eating).

Add a new coat of paint or try switching furniture from one room to another for a fresh perspective.

I love rearranging furniture!  Sometimes it can make a room feel larger or more intimate, but the best benefit for me is just the change itself; keeping things fresh, and visually interesting.

I recently purchased shades for my home office, added an area rug and moved a love seat from the basement to the office space.  The results were were a welcome change.

I challenge you to make 3 small changes using the colors of spring for a fresh new take in your home.  Which room will be first?
