E Z Coasters from fabric scraps and foam core board

by / Saturday, 19 November 2011 / Published in From The Runway To Your Home, INSPIRATION STATION, Questions corner

For some reason I can’t seem to find any coasters in my house.  We had cheap throw-aways, and really nice glass ones, but right now they are all missing in action.

I decided to use some fabric swatches from a discontinued line of fabrics to make these coasters.

Here’s what I did:

Selected fabrics from this book.

THIS WAS THE PERFECT SIZE BOX TO USE FOR THE TEMPLATE

I USED A FOAM CORE BOARD TO MARK AND CUT THE SHAPE FOR THE COASTERSHERE I’M PREPARING TO ADD GLUE TO THE FABRIC AND FOAM CORE

AND HERE’S HOW THEY TURNED OUT- INEXPENSIVE. DECORATIVE AND FUNCTIONAL COASTERS

MIGHT AS WELL PUT THEM TO USE EH?  CHEERS!

MARKET PLACE SATURDAY

Store your wine and make a statement with these wine holders.

they also make great gift ideas for those on your holiday list.

Why should I hire a designer?  They’re expensive and I already have good taste?

Many people believe hiring a professional design consultant is expensive. Designers can actually save you both time and money.  As for good taste, that’s a great place to start.  The consultation process is inclusive and collaborative, so having good taste will enhance the collaboration.  Additionally, designers have excellent connections with the right resources to execute your project in a timely manner.

Finally, It’s comforting to leave the details and (inevitable) challenges to a professional.

Inspiring Creativity,

Ricci
