Graduation season is a short stone’s throw away.  If you are planning a celebration event, these tips may be helpful.

My son contributed to this part of the post.  I felt like I needed a young person’s opinion(smile)…I seem to fail miserably when it comes to knowing what kids want these days.

  1. Bike – to be able to navigate around campus and nearby places.
  2. Laptop – for personal and educational use.
  3. Noise cancelling headphones for podcasts and listening to your favs between classes.
  4. Art and framed family pics – for dorm room decorating and times when you might feel homesick.

5. Decoration ideas

  • Choose a theme centered around your child’s favorite hobbies, career choice or major
  • Choose a color scheme of the graduates favorite colors
  • Set up a graduation box to collect gifts and cards
  • Create Tassel napkins rings to fit in with the theme
  • Place a memory book nearby with your graduates favorite pics and high school moments
