If you’ve been following us, you know that my hubby and son picked out an awesome tree for our home last week.  The height and girth are perfect and the aroma is divine.

Here it sat in the sitting room waiting for a little love.

Not long ago the family  would all pitch in to decorate the tree.

These days I need a location device to figure where everybody went….With teenages and a busy hubby, decorating the Christmas tree has somehow become a lonely undertaking.

But that’s okay,  I’m usually singing and jammin to my favorite holiday tunes, and before long the job is done.

Here’s how the tree turned out

I went for bronze, gold and a pop of red!tree

And it never hurts to add a little leopard in the mix…..just because I love love love it and it never seems to go out of style!wreath with leopard ribbon

I usually add vignettes in various places

Scented pine cones are awesome because they add a layer of delicious aromas to the atmosphere…..They are also very  nice for powder rooms

These are nestled atop an entryway console table with faux cranberries

Holiday ornaments placed in vases or bowls are a simple way to add interestbowl of ornaments

Poinsettias are fabulous for adding saturated pops of  gorgeous red poinsettias

A solid wrapping paper with the same ribbon, gives a consistent and elegant look under the tree.gift wrap ribbon

My home office needed a little love too.. isn’t this tree so cute?
