Sundays with Ydp: The holidays bring out the sillies in us
Another Christmas came like a flash and left us just as quickly.
Each year it seems to come faster and faster. Don’t you agree?
It’s funny though, as my kids get older, my husband and I seem to be the first to rush downstairs to begin our holiday celebration.
The teens finally grace us with their presence late morning, early afternoon.
Times sure have changed.
Once we get going, and the music starts pumping, our silliness takes over.. We attempt the latest dances (unsuccessfully) and try to out sing each other (not a good scene).
For the past 10 or so years, we open one gift on Christmas eve…It’s always been matching PJ bottoms….
We decided to change it up this year and go with shirts. It seemed easier and you can’t beat $5 for a cohesive family attire . Thanks Old Navy!
I started by having PJ bottoms custom made for each of us, and even went as far as having our names monogrammed on them….
These days, Old Navy sales have saved me both money and time.
I usually shop the mens department for our selections. This way the guys are more likely to wear my pick of the year.
As for decorating, My hubby asked for a home office refresh…so he received the following coupon after unwrapping one of his gifts.
Here are a few paint color considerations and art that will breathe new life into his current space. I’ll take snapshots of the results….stay tuned.
