Sundays with Ydp: My experience at High Point Market

I’m just back from High point North Carolina, where my girlfriend and I met for a few days of learning, shopping and gearing up for our clientele back at home.

We found inspiration at every turn from modern to contemporary, rustic to refined, whimsical offerings, antiques and everything in between.

There was much to see in just a few short days of being there.  I often go, to be the eyes for my clients. And to touch and feel the items that I often recommend.

I also come back armed with new ideas and knowledge of the latest trends in home decor.

Here’s a glimpse of some of the “finds” that caught our eye.  I was drawn to some of the wood finishes , textures and leather on the tables and credenzas. And I loved seeing how function and good design came together (like the wine bottle credenza-2nd image) There were sleek surfaces and rough ones, each vying for the spotlight.

Color made it’s presence known and was well executed in pillows, art, flooring and accents

And the seating options ranged from sectionals with cell phone and blue tooth integration, to curved sofas and unique upholstered chairs.

It was also fantastic to see some of my online products featured..here are a few that can be found at shop.yourdesignpartner.com….I’m particularly in love with the headboard, and those geometric chairs…they were sooo comfy!

I can’t leave out the soft lamb skin motif that seemed to be prolific at market….these were too cute, not to take a pic

All in all, the trip was a delight and well worth my feet barking by the end of the day. 🙁
