Sundays with Ydp: Recongnizing God’s grace

MY DAUGHTER

I just spent a wonderful morning with my daughter. Her birthday was yesterday and she is now 20 years young.

It’s hard for me to believe that she’s all grown up now.

I remember my delivery as clearly as if it happened yesterday and I am so proud of the young woman she has become.

I am also proud of her ability to stay focused and intentional with her goals. Despite peer pressure, she remains authentic and does not apologize for dancing to the beat of her own drum.

We met for breakfast at her fav place near campus (Taste of Belgium)and had chicken and waffles….mmm mmmm good.

She opened birthday gifts from her dad, brother and me and we took a few selfies before we parted.

MY SON

My son, who is an amazing soccer player fractured his tibia last week when he collided with the goalie (as he tried to score a goal). His fracture actually frayed out and he was right on the cusp of needing surgery, but with God’s grace he is able to heal with a cast and physical therapy. Can a girl get a woot woot and an amen!

My man-child is caring and thoughtful and soooo funny. His teammates left a gift at our front door with his favorite candy and best wishes from each team member and coach. Of course he’s loving all the attention he’s getting, and those extra smooches and hugs from yours truly.

MY HUBBY

My hubby and I are 2 very lucky people to have each other and our 2 kiddos.

This week, I just wanted to post how blessed I feel about the life God has provided my family and me.

DESIGN TIP THIS WEEK

My design tip this week doesn’t involve the (structural) home interior, but it does involve the other home interior called the soul. Sometimes we just need to tap into our soul to find peace, gratitude and love. And to recognize his grace in our everyday lives.

What grace are you thankful for from this past week? Don’t let the day go by without counting it as a blessing.
