We took a little break last week…..but we’re back!
Back in the day, I remember buying gifts for friends that I thought were really nice. Sometimes, I would even splurge on something that I fell in love with. Needless to say, many times, my friends didn’t like their gift.
Aside from my feelings getting hurt, there was a lesson there, and that was to take myself out of the equation. How often do we buy gifts that “We” like, not thinking about the person receiving it.
Since this is gift giving season, the stress of finding the perfect gift for someone is “real”. Sure you can just pick up something nice, but will the recipient be thrilled? Does the gift represent a passion they have or does it support something they enjoy?
I know, I know, it’s the thought that counts, but isn’t it so much better when you can really make someone’s day?
