JUST IN CASE YOU NEED THIS: 50 WAYS TO PRACTICE SELF CARE

sundays-with-YdpPracticing self care seems like a no-brainer. So you might be asking yourself “Why on earth should we need to be reminded of self care”?  Well here’s why. It’s called LIFE HAPPENS and more often than not, we sometimes forget to breathe.

I received an apple watch for Christmas and the funny thing is, it randomly reminds me to stop, and concentrate on my breaths for about 60 seconds.

I focus on my breathing first, then I inhale deeply and exhale several times until my intentional focus brings me to the moment. The thing is, I’m usually so entrenched in a project or so focused on meeting a deadline, that I don’t even realize, I’m stressing.  At this moment, I usually get up, and allow myself a break.  I stretch, walk for a few moments, and just allow myself a few moments of peace.

My blog is about inspiring people to try new things. It’s not always about design.  There are many ways we can enhance our life and this was just something that I felt compelled to share.

When I read over this list (below), there were about 23 things that I wanted to do right away, but 6, 16, 20, 22, 23 really stood out for me.
