Sleep In Season- Bedding For Every Season

What’s on your bed?  Marissa gives us some great ideas for adding style and function to your bedroom.

No matter where you live, as the seasons change the temperatures change as well. As the seasons change, why shouldn’t your bedding change along with them? Changing your bedding is an easy way to create an ambiance in your room to go along with the season.

Winter:
To stay warm on those cold winter nights, a heavy down comforter is a must have. Who doesn’t love to snuggle up in a nice warm bed in the middle of the freezing winter? A down comforter is the perfect cover to snuggle up in. If you really want to go all out, you can go for the electric blanket! Rich fabrics such as fleece or velvet for throw pillows are also perfect for the winter. Rich colors are also a good fit, such as deep reds, blues, or purples.

Spring:
Light cotton sheets are exactly what your bed needs for spring weather. Spring is like the start of something new- it’s like nature coming back alive. Crisp, clean cotton sheets give that fresh spring feeling. Don’t forget the most important part to get the full fresh aura of spring… the colors! Light colors like yellow, green, pink and blue are great spring colors along with many others. Floral prints look great as well. I love how spring has so many pretty, bright colors. Just take your pick at what is pleasing to you! Add a vase with fresh flowers to complete the look.

Summer:
Get ready for the summer heat! Cotton sheets are perfect not only for spring, but also for summer as well because of how cool and lightweight the cotton is. Light colors and floral prints set the right mood for the summer months. White with a touch of color is a great look for summer.

Fall:
Fall can sometimes be some tough weather to figure out. For that reason, I think fall is the perfect time for blankets! A cozy but decorative blanket is a great addition to a bed, and can easily be used in accordance with the weather. Burgundy, dark orange, red, and plum are prime colors for fall bedding. I am also a big fan of earthly tones that give off a very natural look.
