FREEZE FRAME- DECORATING WITH PICTURE FRAMES

When most people think of frames in interior decorating, they immediately think of picture frames. Frames are most commonly used to enclose a picture or artwork. Have you ever thought about losing the pictures? Frames themselves can have interesting shapes and vibrant colors that stand out without a picture inside. I’ll show you some original ways to utilize frames in your home
For this design, go to your local thrift or antique store for some ideas. These stores will have a variety of frames at different sizes for a cheap price. If you don’t like the color of the frames or want them to be cohesive with your current color scheme, paint the frames different colors. This will bring new life to those old frames you found at the antique store. Go ahead and place the frames in a random order you like!
Try frames within frames. This will add dimension in the room.
Have a bold wall? Keep it tame by adding empty frames. This white against the deep color allows the frames to pop.
Instead of hanging frames, you can stack them. Place larger ones towards the back. Painting each layer of frames the same color makes the pieces stand out.
Instead of the obvious printed artwork, hang your favorite collectibles inside the frames. This works for someone who feels having no art in a frame is too empty for a wall.
Try framing a letter for a personal touch in a room. This would be great in a kid’s room.
Have fun with color. Try different shades and textures. If you don’t like the outcome, you can easily paint over the colors until you find the perfect look for your room. Good luck!
