Don’t Keep Your Holiday Pictures Out Of Sight. Give Them A Spotlight

If you captured some great memories this past holiday season don’t just keep them on your digital camera, flash drive or hard drive.

Give them a spot light in your home. The entryway, fireplace mantel, living room, dining room, family room and library are great places to create a wonderful feature wall.

There are a host of great photo editing sites that can help you enhance, enlarge, or manipulate your favorite photos.

Here are some of my favorite sites and most are free.

Picnik

Picnik is a free site that makes your photos really stand out.  It’s easy to use and has powerful editing tools. You can get super creative and have lots of fun.  I added the (Christmas 2011) text to this image and used the “enhance” feature to sharpen the colors.

JpgFun

This site is another easy-to-use free editing site that allows you to improve your photos, and create a variety of interesting and funny effects.  You can even put your photo on a magazine cover, or frame a family picture with their templates. Below is an example of this.  I used sticks to create the word “Art”. After taking a photo of it,  the JpgFun software helped me frame it.

 Photovisi

This site allows you to choose from 18 photo templates to create collages from your photos as wallpapers.  Imagine spelling out Merry Christmas with your favorite pics and using it to make next years’ holiday card.

PicArtia

If you’re looking for a unique way to feature your favorites, this Mosaic site may be the answer. In three short steps you can turn a basic photo into a mosaic masterpiece.

FotoFlexer

This site Is the most powerful online photo editor around. It can remove blemishes, change skin/hair color, morph photos and more!  I created a collage with these chair images.  the chairs on the right were enhanced with the free software.  Don’t they look brighter?  I also used a tool to add a frame to the left images.  You can have loads of fun on this site.  I have to Warn you that it can be addicting.  This one is my favorite for it’s flexibility and ease of use.

How about turning your favorite photo into a beautiful canvas.  These next few images are some of my favs.  Ydp is always looking for ways to add value and improve offerings.  We’re excited to help you turn some of your favorite photos into personalized canvas art.  Take a look at some of the before and after samples below.

This picture in it’s simplicity sends a bold statement of freedom.  Can you invision this somewhere in your home where you want to be reminded of tranquility and stillness.  Perhaps a space where you do yoga or meditate. I took this picture this summer with a point and shoot camera.

Family photos are great in home libraries, family rooms and even above a fireplace mantel.  This was taken Christmas eve of 2011 with a Nikon.

wouldn’t this be perfect in an office, or beach themed room?

This was taken with a professional Nikon.

Do you have a few keepers that you want to display?  would you prefer that we take the photo for you?  Let us know.  Send us your pictures and we’ll review your options. Below are just a few ways we can spotlight your art.  You’ll be surprised at how affordable it is.
