8 CREATIVE WAYS TO USE TRIM
If you’re looking for a few ideas to “wake up” some of the furnishings in your home, trim may be all you need. Trim can be modest or it can be bold. However you prefer to use it, the results are usually an amazing enhancement for your home furnishings. Pair trim with pillows, drapery panels, window shades, furniture, and bedding (to name a few) and watch your piece, literally “wake up”.
Here are a few examples to give you some ideas of how you can add just the right touch.
This chair is stunning by itself with its clean lines, but the nail head trim gives it a high end look and adds sophistication to the piece.
You can be as conservative or as dramatic as you wish. Instead of a single layer of trim, multiple layers added to this stool make it a stand-out piece.
If a more subtle enhancement is more your thing, these beads or tassels would be perfect.
Here trim is added to a grommet topped curtain for maximum flair.
Finge helps to create the look of luxury both on the curtain and table runners.
If you’ve got an ottoman that’s lacking in style, take a cue from this one and dress it up.! Don’t be afraid to embellish in layers. Here fringe is added to the bottom of the piece, and a layer of tassels provides the finishing touch.
These tassels add a touch of whimsey
Got ready made curtains? Try jazzing them up with trim. Need to lengthen drapery panels? Add a contrasting color to the bottom and cover the seam with a beautiful trim.
