Many people like to procrastinate when it comes to cleaning out the closet. But having an organized closet can save tons of time and help you to avoid being late for work. Whether you have a full on, walk-in closet or a closet that you can barely squeeze your clothes into, use these nifty tips to make sure its organized so that cute top doesn’t get lost in the mess of other clothes!
Don’t we all wish our closets looked like this? Now they can with a few simple steps! The best way to get started is to figure out what it is that makes your closet so disorganized. Maybe it’s only a few little things, or maybe it’s a whole bunch of problems. Whatever it is, there is a solution.
Getting rid of basic closet clutter can be accomplished by a simple organization system. Lowes has some fantastic closet organizers that you can purchase. If your closet is on the smaller side, it may be a struggle to neatly fit your shoes inside. An over the door rack such as the one above may be a good option for those of you who are struggling with closet space. Target has some great shoe racks that could be used in your closet.
Try a belt hanger like the one above to keep all of your belts organized. You could use this hanger for other accessories as well, such as scarves. If you’re short on money you could always just use a regular hanger. You can purchase this one for $7.29 from Amazon.
There also comes a time when you just need to get rid of some of the stuff in your closet. Get rid of those old clothes that you never wear anymore. Donate what you can, and throw away what is no longer good or useful. This CNN article gives you tips on how to let go of your stuff. Use the Goodwill locator to find a donation location near you. You could also donate to the Salvation Army, or any other donation service near you.
Make the effort, and stop the procrastination of cleaning out your closet. You will feel much better once it’s done, and may even surprise yourself how quickly you find things! It doesn’t take much work to get that closet cleaned out… the hardest part is just getting started!
