Neon. It’s young, it vibrant, and “in your face”, but have you ever considered it as a great color to accent your home? I hadn’t either until I realized how much I love incorporating neon into my daily outfits. This got me wondering how it would look in the home. After scouring the internet to see if this was actually a trend or something just made up in my mind, I am happy to report IT IS NOT! The neon train is here, hop on board!
Little Accents
Having small neon accents around a room is an easy way to incorporate the trend in a non-committal way. I really like the neon place setting for the summer and the spray painted pictures frames for a more permanent accent.
Neon in the Fabrics
Little neon accents not enough for ya? Trying putting the brights on your fabrics! They make any piece a statement piece.
Paint It
Give a new meaning to “Go big or Go Home” by painting one of your walls neon. While I’m all in favor of expressing yourself how ever you see fit, might I suggest the use of bright teal on the walls? It’s perfect for a kids room. Use neon to make stripes in another part of the home or paint that aging nightstand. Talk about versatility.
