Clutter Free Kitchen
I’m sure that most of us probably desire that large, clutter free kitchen that just seems to have that ‘special sparkle’. Yet, the reality is that a lot of us do not have that. We have the best intentions of getting there, but then that pile of mail keeps growing or the papers sitting on the counter “will get put away tomorrow.” We put things off and then can just never seem to catch up. It’s a never-ending cycle. There are things that you can do to try and keep that mess organized, despite your busy life.
Stick To The Routine
Most people tend to have some sort of daily routine that they typically follow. The first step to getting a clutter free kitchen is making it a part of your daily routine. Make it a habit to not go to bed without the kitchen being clean. If you can maintain the organization it will become so normal that you won’t even have to think about it.
There’s A Place For Everything
Make sure to put things in the same place every day. When you come home from work, put your keys, purse, coat, etc. in the same spot every day. I think the key to this is not letting those things even make it into the kitchen. If you have an organized front entry like in the picture, those things can have their own place right on any coat rack type of furniture.
Don’t Put Off The Mail
Mail is one of the easiest things to let pile up, so this one is important to make a habit of. Just take the time to go through that mail every day. Throw out what you don’t need, and keep what you do need organized and in one place. The entryway mail organizer shown below can also be used for the previous step. You could also use something (and actually make it yourself!) like what is shown in my organizational post. I really like the organizer in the second photo as well- how creative is that chalk board?!
Select Your Appliances Wisely
Having all of your appliances out all the time is unnecessary and just adds to the clutter. Only keep out the appliances that you use every day or most days of the week. If you only use your blender once a week, find a place for it in a cabinet or pantry and only take it out when you need it.

Stay Organized Inside And Out
Don’t just get rid of your kitchen clutter on your countertops or in the sink. Make sure the drawers, pantry, cabinets, etc. are also neat and organized. If you’re only shoving things wherever you can fit them because the insides are so cluttered, keeping the outside clutter free is not going to last very long.
Add The Finishing Touch
To top off your clutter free kitchen, make sure to add some flowers or a nice plant. It will give your kitchen a clean and complete finish.
