Lifestyle: Moving In for Newlyweds
If you have recently tied the knot with your significant other and are moving in to your new home, things may seem a little overwhelming. This post will give you some great pointers to get you started.
First things first, you have to figure out what to do about all of your stuff. Most likely both of you will not have room to bring all of your possessions. It is important to go through what you each have because you may find there is a lot of overlap.
The next problem that this brings is mixing both of your things together. You are probably not going to have the exact same taste as each other, so I believe it is essential to keep an open mind about your new home. Try a new style, mix-and-match, and play around with designs you may never have considered before. You never know what may catch your eye and you might even surprise yourself.
Make sure the space works for both partners. Try to find a common theme that both of you enjoy. You want to make your home representative of both of you, so the decision making goes both ways.
Finally, keep it simple. It will take some getting used to, but over time you will be able to see how your styles mesh together and what works best for living in your home. Just making sure that you have the basics covered when you first move in is more than enough.
