Turquoise Is the New Black
Turquoise is a cool color by nature, but this spring it’s getting to be hotter than ever. In case you haven’t noticed, turquoise seems to be EVERYWHERE lately. It’s showing up in all the major retail stores, in the trendiest jewelry for summer 2012 and this cool color has even been spotted in some of the hippest interior design stores.
So what’s causing the sudden insurgence in this vibrant hue? Blame it on the season. Turquoise immediately conjures up images of Caribbean seas, calm feelings, and relaxation; basically everything summertime embodies. So even though you may have to spend more time indoors than you would like, at least you can bring a little piece of paradise indoors to enjoy year round.
Start Small:
If you’re not sure how well turquoise will fit into your home the best way to test the look is by adding small accents throughout your home. Here are some ideas to use and make your own.

Below is my favorite way to incorporate turquoise into the home. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ottoman, black and yellow accents and the plant life. It’s all so fab.
