Our Current Obsession: Chandeliers in the Bathroom What’s your vote?

To achieve the look of a luxurious and romantic bathroom, Chandeliers are all the rage.   Personally, I love. love, love the look that these lighting fixtures provide.

The million dollar question however, is are they safe in the bathroom?

Here’s a look at a few ideas found on Pinterest, Houzz and bhg.com.

  While this is stunning to look at, it is not the best placement for safety.

Tip: It’s important to install UL listed lighting for wet environments in the bathroom. Even though those flea market finds looks tempting, use them in other areas of your home. Safety always comes before style.

Tip: Try your hand at these safer alternatives. They aren’t as glamourous, but you will have more peace of mind.

Create your own chandelier look, using candles, a wire basket (Home Goods) and crystals from your local lighting store.  The candles will cast romantic shadows around the room and if they are scented, you’ll experience the benefits of aromatherapy.
