Lately my family has been talking about getting a summer home. I’m not sure if it’s this intense heat getting to them or if they are actually serious, but either way it has got me thinking about what my ideal summer home would look like. Hopefully these pictures can inspire you to get a summer home or make some changes in the one you already have. If not, it is always fun to think about having one.

Love this look for a guest room. Using wooden oars for a headboard is a great idea!

This is such a relaxing setting for a deck. The blue cushions go well right next to the water.

This is a fantastic idea for a children’s room. The nets on the top bunks keep the kids safe and go well with the nautical theme.

 I’ve always pictured my dream summer home with a beautiful porch just like the one in the picture above. This article from Houzz has some great inspiration for wraparound porches.

A clean, fresh looking living room is an important part of any summer home.
