Color Fabulous: Red Red Red!

Color is an integral part of our lives. We use warm tones to inspire intimacy and coziness, and cooler tones for an open airy opposite.
I recently attended a Sherwin Williams training to learn about the upcoming trends for 2013. The new year will be an exploration of extremes like, light paired with dark, smooth with texture, bold colors with neutrals and so on.
Here’s a sneak peak at the palettes trending for next year. We will see these trends everywhere from fashion and home goods, to everything in between, like the auto industry, film, pop culture, science, appliances, upholstery and more.
As for today’s focus, I want to talk about RED. It’s warm, sexy, earthy, spirited, sophisticated and so much more. And I am always a little surprised to learn that so many of my clients l-o-v-e this hue!
I am currently working with red selections for a kitchen window treatment that needs just the right pop of color.
These are some of my favorites for the space. 
We’re looking for fabrics that have a contemporary, transitional or global attitude.
